Stamgæst (stamgaest.com) helps cafés and restaurants read and reply to their Google reviews. This page explains what information we process, why we do it, and what rights you have.
Who is responsible
The data controllers are Sebastian Neerup Jensen & Magnus Bruun, Denmark. You can always contact us at kontakt@stamgaest.com.
What information we process
- Your account: your email address and your password. The password is only stored in hashed form, so we can never read it.
- Your café: name, address, category and overall rating on Google.
- Reviews: the reviewer's display name, star rating, text and time. This information is already public on Google.
- Replies: the drafts Stamgæst writes, and the text you approve and send.
- Your Google connection: if you connect your Google Business Profile, we store the access token Google gives us. It is stored encrypted.
- Technical: a login cookie, which is needed to keep you signed in. We don't use cookies for advertising or tracking.
Why we process it
We use the information to provide the service to you: to show your reviews, draft replies, give you an overview of what guests mention, and post the replies you have approved. The legal basis is our agreement with you to provide the service. We don't use the information for advertising, and we don't sell it.
Data from Google
When you connect your Google Business Profile, we ask for permission to manage it
(business.manage). We only use that access to:
- read your café's information and reviews
- post replies to reviews that you have read and approved yourself.
We never post anything to your profile without your approval. We don't use data from Google for anything other than what is described here, and we don't use it for advertising.
If you haven't connected your profile, we may fetch the reviews that are publicly visible on Google Maps through the Google Places API.
Stamgæst's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can remove our access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions or by writing to us.
Who we share information with
We use these providers to run the service:
- Anthropic (the AI model Claude): when a draft or an overview is created, the review text, the reviewer's display name and your café's name are sent to Anthropic. Anthropic does not use this information to train its models.
- Google: to fetch reviews and post replies.
- Neon: our database, where the information is stored. It is located in the EU.
- Cloudflare: for our domain, email and delivery of the website.
Anthropic and Google are based in the United States. When information is transferred outside the EU, this is done on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We don't share information with anyone else unless required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep the information for as long as you use Stamgæst. When you stop, we delete your account, your reviews, drafts and your Google connection within 30 days.
Your rights
You have the right to see the information we hold about you, and to have it corrected, deleted or handed over to you. You can also ask us to restrict the processing or object to it. Write to kontakt@stamgaest.com and we'll help. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.
Changes
If we change how we process information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
